Trim Levels (Exterior)
The ProMaster comes in several different configurations with varying sizes for the wheelbase, roof height, and body length. The key difference, however, is whether the ProMaster is a cargo van or a window van. The cargo van offers 16-inch wheels and no rear windows but has a backup camera. The window van, on the other hand, has windows all around it along with a passenger-side sliding side door. The rest of the vehicle, though, is much the same as the cargo van version.
Engine (Power)
Only one engine is available with the ProMaster, but it's all the engine you'll ever need. The van features a 3.6-liter V-6 Pentastar engine, and it's the same engine that's been proven time and time again in a wide variety of Ram models. It comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Plenty of power will be at your disposal, as it offers 276 horsepower with 250 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
Whether you need a cargo van for personal use or for business, it's important that the performance is reliable. Fortunately, you'll have plenty of capability at your disposal with the ProMaster, including an impressive maximum towing capacity of 6,910 pounds - in case the enormous amount of cargo space isn't enough. Additionally, the maximum payload capacity is an incredible 4,680 pounds.
Interior
One of the most important aspects of any cargo van is its interior space. You'll find plenty available with the new ProMaster, as it offers a maximum 259 cubic feet of space in the back when you don't have any rear seats. Driving this van is also quite comfortable thanks to the 38.8 inches of legroom upfront. You'll also find some handy technology, including a standard 7-inch touchscreen interface with the option to upgrade to a 10-inch unit. No matter which size you opt for, however, it's set up with Uconnect 5, which is one of the most responsive and intuitive infotainment systems on the market. Your van can even serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Safety Features
Ram has loaded the ProMaster with safety features, so you can drive with peace of mind. In fact, quite a few of these features come standard on all models, including blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and forward collision warning with automated emergency braking. You can even upgrade to have adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go technology. Stability control is standard too, which automatically reduces engine power or applies brakes when necessary to ensure you maintain control.
