What's New for 2024?

The 2024 Pacifica sees slight changes for the new model year. There's a new interior color option called Sepia, while other trims see Red Hot and Baltic Gray added as new paint choices. The plug-in hybrid now has two trims: Hybrid Select and Hybrid Pinnacle. And a new Emergency Vehicle Alert System had been added to the Pacifica's Uconnect infotainment system, which tells if emergency vehicles are approaching and encourages the driver to yield.

Performance

The Chrysler Pacifica is powered by a 3.6-liter 287 horsepower V6 engine with a nine-speed transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional on all trims. There is also an available hybrid powertrain using the same engine set up to produce 260 horsepower.

According to the EPA, the gas-powered Pacifica earned a combined 31 mpg. Meanwhile, the hybrid gets an estimated 84 MPGe combined and 33 miles of electric range.

Design

From the outside, the Chrysler Pacifica is sleeker than your typical minivan, but it still has that classic minivan look. But the interior is where this model shines. The Pacifica has plenty of features you and your family will love: an airy and spacious cabin filled with cubbies, cupholders, and slide-out bins.

As you look around, you'll find the cabin is made from several high-end materials and a few down-market plastic pieces. In the Pinnacle model, passengers will find quilted leather upholstery and matching lumbar pillows for the second-row captain's chairs. And featured in the Pinnacle and the Limited trims are a tall center console that gives these trims a more SUV-like feel from behind the wheel.

When it comes to hauling cargo, the Pacifica doesn't disappoint. The Pacifica also features Stow' n Go seats for the second row so that the cargo area can be expanded. In testing, it was found to hold 53 carry-on suitcases with the second-and third-row seats stowed. Unfortunately, due to the battery, Stow 'n Go is removed from the second row in the Pacifica Hybrid, but Chrysler has added extra cushioning to the standard captain's chairs.

Technology

As a more upscale minivan, the Pacifica has many advanced technologies. There's a standard 10.1-inch touchscreen running on Chrysler's Uconnect 5 infotainment system, which features Amazon Alexa integration. Additionally, there are features like a Wi-Fi hotspot, 12 USB ports, and an optional rear-seat entertainment system with Amazon Fire TV.

Safety

Equipped in every Pacifica are a slew of safety features. Adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and a blind-spot monitor are standard. While higher trims feature a surround-view camera system, an automated parking system, and parking sensors.
